The Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility (MSDF) is a high-rise, medium security correctional facility at 10th and State Streets in downtown Milwaukee with a capacity of 1,024 offenders – and a video production crew.

Our job was to create a training DVD that would demonstrate emergency evacuation procedures to the staff and inmates. While the crew wasn’t eager to become permanent residents, they did find the experience fascinating. From sampling the food to serving as inmate-extras, everyone got into the act.
