We’ve always believed that the “language of business” is really the language of the customer. That’s why we’re constantly repurposing video projects with foreign language voice-overs or subtitles. We were reminded of the importance of this service again today when a large Milwaukee company asked that a project we just completed in English be subtitled in German, Spanish and Czech. Yesterday we finished an animated project in Russian. Tomorrow we’re putting the finishing touches on 21 modules of a training project in Spanish – as soon as our Colombian narrator delivers her final track.
And, earlier this year, there was a project in Polish, Italian, Japanese, Greek, Dutch, Danish, French, German, Hungarian and Brazilian Portuguese along with EU and Latin American Spanish.
We’re always amused by the need to have both American English as well as UK English versions of a project. (As Oscar Wilde put it in The Canterville Ghost: “We have really everything in common with America nowadays, except, of course, language.”)
