Many of you may have seen the new Donald’s McDonald’s ad the past few weeks, but we did a double take when we noticed another familiar face in the ad. Back in 2009, we enjoyed working with Duane Sharp and Riteway Bus to create a series of short vignettes to help promote emergency preparedness. Check out two of the five segments we did below from Riteway Bus’ Emergency Awareness and Preparedness project.

Homeland Security

In the summer of 2009 we found ourselves casting bus drivers, average citizens and terrorists for a Department of Homeland Security project. One part of the project was a series of humorous PSA’s designed to help raise security awareness among people who ride public transport.

Props play an important role in any production. For this one they included a book, a bus, a homemade bomb, a gun, a police uniform and a damsel in distress. Note the book cover the actor is holding. That’s terrorist (and freelance videographer) Brian Minton in the lower left and policeman (and director) Joe Liberatore rescuing the lady in red.

Here is a montage of clips from the PSAs.
